FLORIDA ADULT AND TECHNICAL DISTANCE EDUCATION CONSORTIUM (FATDEC) MISSION STATEMENT
To place adult and technical education courses in an online environment in order to provide an alternative instructional delivery model for adult students to gain workforce preparedness competencies and skills.

E-Learning Project Facilitator
Rate of Pay: $36,000/grant year

The qualifications and skill requirements for this position includes a minimum of a Baccalaureate degree in education, technology, or a specific core subject discipline with strong technology background in the delivery methodology; experience in teaching online or working with online instructional programs is strongly desired as is experience in teaching secondary level students; experience in proven experience in collaborative efforts, training instructors in the use of instructional technology and knowledge of Adult and Technical programs is also strongly preferred.
The essential job functions and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to serving as the lead coordinator in increasing Florida Adult Technical Distance Education Consortium state membership and managing the Consortium, overseeing completion of AGE grant deliverables.
Exponential increase in online learning, now demonstrates the need for an individual to manage this Consortium and its efforts, planning for the future, while maintaining daily functions. The Consortium has laid the foundation for successful online offerings by analyzing the need, designing and implementing a careful and deliberately organized structure and plan. To continue the successful momentum of solid growth, along with a Web-based Curriculum Developer, the specific duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
1. Monitoring project goals and budget
2. Recording respective data
3. Distributing meeting agendas/minutes
4. Coordinating meetings/ workshops
5. Communicating via email and telephone
6. Copying, file, type notes
7. Submitting invoices as necessary
8. Creating evaluation tools
9. Maintaining schedules
10. Connecting technical support, mentorships, trainings with respective needs
This position requires an ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time and to present oral lectures and demonstrations, walk, bend, lift, reach up stoop, and carry items occasional in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds. Some lifting of computer and electronic equipment may be required. It also requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines, such as, copier, fax, calculator, telephone, and other equipment as necessary. FATDEC expects all service providers to follow proper safety standards while working for the Consortium. Although full-time, the hours for this position are flexible as it will be primarily be completed virtually in most cases. This is a grant funded position.
Web Courseware Developer:

The essential job functions and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to incorporating no less than three more classes to the current FATDEC offerings; to continue the mission and goals of the Florida Adult Technical and Distance Education Consortium by expanding course offerings throughout the state, with special emphasis on Adult High School classes. This individual will be responsible for taking the initiative to pull together a team and work with subject matter experts (SME) in editing available courseware and developing web-based courseware to target Florida’s Adult Education population while meeting Florida Department of Education state standards. This curriculum is to incorporate media-rich content, including graphics, sound, and streaming video, stimulating student interest while addressing various learning styles. This is to ensure that the new course offerings are of the same high quality as current FATDEC class offerings, which are rich in media content, thematic and consistent, giving students structure to support meta-cognition in their learning. Current credible links and life-like applications should also be woven into the curriculum, offering students life skills to take into the workforce and home. The Web-based Curriculum Developer will work with various experienced specialists, as well as use procedures already in place by FATDEC, to assure continued quality, consistency, and continuity between the old and newly developed curricula. Curriculum is to consist of clearly stated objectives, adhering to the Florida State Sunshine Standards and Florida Department of Education criteria for secondary and literacy completions.
